My organization & individual interventions are for people who recognise a change is required, either in the present or future. â€‹This may be at 'self' as the leader, for the senior leadership group, a department, or the whole organization​

 

Often, people recognise a problem that is already present or can see it coming, but they may not know or be competent in executing the needed solutions/interventions.​

 

I am sure we have all seen the coaching & mentoring world go through trends in certain wording or a subject area seen as the key to success in wellness & performance at the time. The fundamentals of success haven't changed; they are timeless.​​

I have had the privilege of gaining extensive experience working with the elite British military as a training designer, manager, coach, and senior instructor. I have also worked with both individual & team elite professional & amateur sports globally, including full seasons. world, Paralympic, & Olympic preparation. Additionally, I have provided support to teams & national governing bodies. I have applied my learnings from these environments when supporting global business plus educational organizations, including schools, colleges, & universities.

 

With this real-world experience combined with my relentless research into individual & team performance, I have identified the sources of what negatively impact engagement, learning, judgment, decision-making, communication, behaviours, & teamwork—the critical influencers that impact culture & performance.

Lack of clarity in the daily behaviours combined with little to no explicit investment in them can scupper culture within months.

Facilitating & Embedding Change

Provide effective support, structures & principles to positively impact people ‘change’ to embed the newly acquired skills, competencies & behaviours.

In my experience over the last 30 years, lack of investment in effective change support is the biggest reason training interventions to improve behaviours & culture fail.

​

Change is tough, & yet organizations still invest high in training & low in change support post-training.

Any of these delivered in separation will not facilitate true change. Technical & tactical training is important, but if coaches or managers struggle to influence some individuals & teams to consistently make effective decisions, & execute them with quality & intensity within competitive environments; those individuals & teams will always underperform.

Even if the training is of high quality in providing information on how to increase individuals & teams behaviours, learning & performance, the chance of someone being able to go away & embed the new learning into their situations; to be able to adjust their behaviours to embed new ones is very slim. Most people will regain their pre-training habits within a few weeks.

 

This is why having a robust support intervention to help organisations, teams & individuals through the ‘transition of change’ is not only critical; it ensures you receive a tangible return on your investment.
